I know, I know. I am starting to get lazy and I haven’t really done any full length posts but these image posts will at least give you some quick pointers. That being said this is just another visual lesson on how you can use Excel Sparklines with the merging tool to make large charts that represent your data.
I would suggest that you play around with sparkline formatting and functionality because you can do some pretty cool stuff with it. Some of the features include but are not limited to the following:
- Apply and add text to the chart by double clicking and editing the cell.
- You can also set the high/low end vertical axis value (and horizontal values). This allows you to push your chart further down/further up within the cell and will allow you to place written text in the top or bottom of the cell as the backdrop.
- Show high points and low points – using different colors. This is awesome because it allows you to see low/high parts of your trends without having to sift through your data.
